Yes...Monistat Chafing Powder Gel as a Facial Primer

This is something I have known about for almost two years. I had heard about but never really paid too much mind. I was just testing a few primers I had and wasn't really liking them as much as I thought I had anymore. I was having issues with dryness on my face so I changed my facial cleanser but my foundation was not going on as smooth. So I got on Google which by the way is my favorite search engine and Monistat popped up and I thought what the hell it's less then $7.00 bucks. Let me tell you that those were the best 7.00 bucks I have ever spent. I applied it and thought there is no way this is going to work and OMG my face was Matte the whole night.

Monistat is made from Dimethicone which has 3 great benefits:
  • It locks in your moisturizer under your makeup to keep your skin moisturized.
  • The dimethicone does not let the oils from your skin from breaking through to your foundation.
  •  Dimethicone stops oil from getting out and your foundation won't getting in. This means that your skin will not absorb your makeup, so your makeup looks great all day, even on hot summer days.
This is truly a un-talked about product in the beauty community. I say give it a try if you like a Matte face. Everyone will have their own opinion, this is only my opinion and experience with this product.

I've heard makeupgeek talk about this product too, I heard it's similar to smashbox's primer. I actually have this product but i don't use it much.
